As a lifelong “motorhead,” I never imagined I’d have much interest in electric cars. Clutch pedals, engine revs and throaty exhaust burbles make my heart sing. It’s a tough year for job losses. Challenger & Gray says there were 54% more job cuts in July than June. And through the first seven months of 2020, the pace of layoffs is 212% above year-earlier levels, according to the job-tracking firm.
